Developing a native desktop application using a well-known JS library

I’m going to start a desktop application project(probably linux based) and I’d like to use javascript one of the 3 libraries for the view.
I’v read about the proton-native project that enables creating native desktop applications using react structure and syntax and it sounds cool, as it skips the overhead of running a web-browser, using OS native widgets(unlike Electron and other similar options).

The thing is that I feel more comfortable with Vue.js and Angular, so I wonder if I can somehow use Proton or maybe a Proton-like project to build my desktop application, using Angular or Vue, without the web browser overhead . Any suggestions?
